Mount Kilimanjaro

The famous mountain Kilimanjaro actually refers to the entire mountain range in the national park of the same name. The massif consists of a total of three extinct volcanoes Shira (3,962 m), Mawenzi (5,140 m) and Kibo (Swahili “the light”), which at 5,895 m is the highest point in Africa and the destination of your trek The Kilimanjaro National Park covers an area of 753 km² and is located on the outskirts of the city of Moshi. From here your mountain guide leads you to the foot of the mountain, where your porters are already waiting for you. A strenuous climb is ahead of you, but the reward will be a breathtaking sunrise over Africa from Uhuru Peak (“the freedom summit”). A climb is possible all year round and is also possible for mountain beginners. We currently offer the ascent via the Machame Route as well as via the Marangu Route.
